ZF 4HP22 Automatic Transmission High Capacity Crankcase

We are now able to offer the High Capacity sump to suit the ZF 4HP22,
Due to the different shape of the lower part of the sump this will increase the oil capacity by 1 liter,
This higher capacity aids the cooling and the aluminum sump and cooling fins help dissipate the heat more effectively.
Comes complete with both filler and drain plug, 6 securing socket cap screws and a steel reinforced silicone gasket.
Note some vehicles may have a cross member towards the front lower edge which could foul the new sump, check your vehicle before ordering.

Note this will fit both the electronic and hydraulic versions of the 4HP22/ 24.
If you are fitting this sump in place of an original sump with a dipstick/ filler tube, the fill procedure would be:
Remove the plug in the front face of the sump, fill with oil until it overflows, start the engine then pump fast to replenish the oil as it will be sucked into the auto box, fill until it overflows again, when it overflows, move the shifter through each position to get any air out. Put the plug in. Road test and recheck.
Please note the torque setting for the 6 screws is 8Nm.
Note the level plug is M16.
